I know there are many of you who wished you could have attended Ed's funeral.
Here is the video of the service. Thank you, Enoch, for providing this video for us.

SALMO 116, VERSICULO 15: ESTIMADA ES A LOS OJOS DE JEHOVA, LA MUERTE DE LOS SANTOS. DIOS CONSUELE TU CORAZON Y EL DE TU FAMILIA.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful...the bird singing at the arrival at the cemetery, and the voices rising up in song. Thank you for sharing this intimate time with those of us who could not be there, but who prayed for Ed, you and the kids through this journey.
ReplyDeleteNo words to describe. You, your family, and community are in my prayers.
ReplyDelete'Be Still My Soul' was perfect for the ending. Brought sweet tears to my eyes. Kept expecting to see Ed's smile as the camera panned around the crowd gathered in fellowship.
ReplyDeleteGina, thank you so much for sharing Ed's funeral video with us. What beautiful services ... such heavenly music! "Abide With Me" brought tears to my eyes. A wonderful tribute to a good & faithful servant! I am still continuing to pray for you & your children for God's guidance, love, comfort & peace. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it was so special to be part of this service way down in Alabama. The songs were so meaningful and encouraging!! Gina, you are an inspiration to me the way you handle life & death. I was blessed by the song "When we all get to Heaven' You have a very large crowd of people who support you during this challenging time.
ReplyDeleteDear Sister Gina,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing!! We prayed for you all day during the service...we continue praying for you and the children.
May the LORD sustain and keep you until you meet Bro. Ed on the other shore some sweet day! The songs were precious.
This was just so wonderful to see. I have never seen a funeral like that. You have quite an amazing community and family supporting you. I have never seen something like that before either. I am so thankful that you have that support.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gina for sharing this video with us. We love you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us, Gina. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day...

I have to say, I lost it when you all were singing "It Is Well With My Soul." That hymn is very comforting. Please know your family is in my prayers. I'm mailing you a copy of a hymn that I hope you find comfort in singing. I will mail it tomorrow and it should arrive next week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and moving service. I hope you drew strength and comfort from the large gathering that came out to support you and pray together with you for Ed.
ReplyDeleteGina, I know there will be many sad days but many happy ones as well. God will provide, he always does. We pray for you and yours daily. God bless and always be with you.
ReplyDeleteGina, thank you so much for sharing the video with us. Big hugs from Australia for you and your children.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It gave meaning to my life.
ReplyDeleteHow kind of you to share this lovely tribute to your Ed. I enjoyed each speaker. It was fun to get some glimpses of Ed from some of his fellow ministers. I appreciate them not glossing over how difficult this loss is. How challenging to take the eternal perspective of the life we have for those of us who have placed our trust in the finished work of the Cross.
ReplyDeleteMany thoughts of you and yours. Many prayers as well.
What a beautiful service. May the Lord continue to bind up your broken hearts. Praying! 🙏🏼
ReplyDeleteTo Gina and your lovely children, praying for you all. Thank you for the glimpse of a Mennonite community. The music touched my heart. It was so beautiful. Know we are all thinking of you at this hard time as you find a new normal. Brenda and Ross in Tennessee.
ReplyDeleteDear Gina. Thank you for sharing your husband's funeral with us. Just wanted to say....we're praying for you. May God be your strength, comfort and joy.
ReplyDeleteI was so sorry to hear that you had lost your dear husband. I used to read your blog years ago but had kind of got away from blogs in recent years. Today, your blog name popped into my head. Praying for you today!
ReplyDeleteJust listened and watched this today, a year later. The truth-filled, beautiful hymns stood out to me in particular. Trust you are still finding comfort in His unchanging, unfailing Word, and that the support of many is still very real in your life. Prayers for you and yours.
