I made this recipe for dinner with another family last night, and it disappeared quickly.

ChristyChristy McGuirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07892910561332220687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4916485057164205644.post-50233820819016660512013-02-23T13:14:04.284-05:002013-02-23T13:14:04.284-05:00Christy-

This rest time is especially important for whole grain bread. A rest time also relaxes the dough so that you won't need to knead the dough as long.
GinaGinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05420137490490341730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4916485057164205644.post-17365776863139260062013-02-23T12:22:18.818-05:002013-02-23T12:22:18.818-05:00This might be a silly question, but what is the pu...This might be a silly question, but what is the purpose of letting the dough rest? How does that change the end result? I just found your blog while looking for this bread recipe, which I have made but misplaced. Another way to look at it is "Isn't it selfish to keep knowledge to myself?" You are doing great. A friend of mine came over not too long ago to learn to bake bread. I only make one type of bread, but they seem to like it. It's not a pride issue, though I guess you could get into that trap. Seems that if you had some ladies that would like to learn to bake bread, it might be an opportunity to share spiritual things with them as well.

I'd definately come to a baking class if I lived close enough.

Happy baking.
Mrs. DMrs. Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07703464320152527607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4916485057164205644.post-13560273908655917372010-06-09T17:25:10.976-04:002010-06-09T17:25:10.976-04:00I wish I lived closer and I would definitely come ...I wish I lived closer and I would definitely come to your bread baking class. I don't think it is self promotion to teach a class because you genuinely want to pass on your skills to others. And your blog encourages people to try new things and different recipes.
