Have a minute?

I'm going to ask a favor of you. I have a friend who is attempting to win a new grill. Would you mind taking a  minute and vote for Eunice B? Eunice and her husband are sacrificially moving next month to Maine to help start a new church. I'd love to encourage her!

Here is the email Eunice sent me.

UGH!  I'm like most people...I don't like to ask for things, but sometimes it's a good thing.  This just might be one of those times.  Our grill died.  It's served us more than faithfully the past 8+ yrs, but now it's gone.  We've been searching for several months, and just last week, we decided on one.  After thinking about it some more, we were ready to place the order online this evening.  We got as far as placing it in our cart, and then we stopped.  I asked if we should wait a few more days.  Not sure why, but sure no problem, we've been waiting this long.

Fast forward to 4 hrs later....I'm browsing a few blogs and came across one that's giving away a grill...not just any grill, but the next step up from the cheaper version we were going to buy.  There is a contest until Aug 2, 9:00 PM EST, and you can vote once per household.  Anyway, here is my shameless plug...would you vote for us?  For those of you that don't know us personally, we've been asked, along with 6 other families to move to Maine to help with a church plant next month.  More than a few uncertainties, but God is faithful!

Competition is stiff, and I don't like to beg, but this would be such a blessing....that's putting it mildly at this stage of our lives!
Eunice's husband doesn't know anything about this - and his birthday is next month! Let's help surprise him! Thanks so much!

  2. I'd vote for you too, but not sure what name your are registered under :)

Mmmmmm peaches looks glorious. I love fresh peaches... juice running down your chin. What a blessing you can get them local. All our fruit (except apples) are stubby. Our growing season is just not long enough. When we lived in Olcott, NY we had wonderful fruit. I've been tempted to go there just to get a few bushels of fruit to put up, but the cost of travel makes that a dumb idea.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

  5. I just voted for her :) We gave our grill away free on Craig's List at the beginning of summer as we just don't use it. Their free listings are a great way to get what you're wishing for ;o)

  14. I put in a vote, for good measure, though it looks like a healthy lead and I'm so hoping she gets the grill and puts it to fine use for years to come!
