Make a Frog!

Remember the Boo-boo bags? I made some new ones for the children.

I used the simple pattern found at the purl bee here to craft a frog shaped bag. You could easily choose any other type of animal. They are filled with rice and have soothed many bumps and bruises since their creation. We keep them in the freezer door to be ready to comfort. If you like to heat up your boo-boo bags, do not sew on buttons for eyes which may get too hot and defeat their intended purpose.
If winter days have you in the crafting mood, check out Sew Mama Sew. In November they did their annual Handcrafted Holidays. In October they held a Scrap Buster Contest with endless ideas. I've had to avoid the site because I get too excited about starting new projects. It is a wonderful resource of free patterns and tutorials.

One of my favorite things at Christmas is getting together with my cousin Carolyn at a family reunion and seeing her latest purse creations! I always come away inspired to sew a new purse! Thankfully this past year she started a blog and shares pictures of all her original purses so I didn't have to wait all year! You can go get your own purse inspiration at By CJ here.

Ooooh! I like your boo boo frogs. The rice is a cool idea. I've always made boo boo bunnies with their terry cloth tummies being able to hold an ice cube. I'd really like to try the frogs, thanks for posting this.
